"Thank You For One More Day" and "Come Over Here" - The Angelic Gospel Singers

Found this the other day; the cover immediately jumped out at me. The Person on the right, Josephine I believe, looks absolutely terrified. She is the only one not looking at the camera, and seems to be on the verge of tears.

With a little further research about this track, I learned that The Angelic Gospel Singers were the longest continuos recording and preforming female lead gospel group in the US. Their first album was released in 1961 and their final in 2000. This album Margret, Josephine, and Bernice was released in 1978.

"Thank You for One More Day" is a pretty great up tempo track. Im not sure exactly what jumped out about it to me, but I think it's pretty great. The second track i'll share from this album is "Come Over Here". This is the first song off of the album, and is much slower soulful than "Thank You for One More day". The instrumental intro, especially the first few notes on the piano, establishes the perfect mood for the vocals that follow.

Thank You for One More Day

Come Over Here
