Hopefully I will be updating more regularly from here on out. Honestly though, I make no promises. I want to though; I really do.

Here's a mini mix to get your weekend started right.
"Get Dressed" - Midnight Star
I like this song, and I love this album. Headlines by Midnight Star, 1986. was the sixth and final studio release featuring the Calloway brothers (two of the groups founding members). While "Get Dressed" was not one of the three singles from the album, I find it reminiscent of 1999 era Prince, thus an absolute gem in my opinion. Strangely enough some of the members of Midnight Star would go on to write songs for Toni Braxton including two duets with Babyface (of La Face Records see below)
"Body Talk" - Deele
Released in 1984 this track was featured in the pilot episode of the television show Miami Vice. The original lineup (and the lineup featured in "Body Talk") included members L.A. Reid and Babyface Edmonds who would later go on to start the Atlanta based La Face Records who released such artists as TLC, Goodie Mob, and OutKast.
"Let's Dance (Make Your Body Move)" - West Street Mob
Shake, Your Pants and Dance
JAM, I know you Got the Groove
Now let me see your body move
Shake, Make your body move
Let's dance I know you got the fever
Let's dance come on and get down
Make noise, Be Seen
Party People let me hear you scream
Work that body, Work that body
Make sure you don't hurt no body
With Lyrics like this, I feel like little explanation is needed.

"Prove It to Me" - New Experience
Released in 1984, and I could find no other information about this track. Simply a small blip on the musical radar. I thought it was a nice track to finish the mix off with. You've gotten dressed, made your body talk, danced it out, and now at the end of the night it's time to see who matters; or something like that.
anyways, here is the mix...
